You cannot change the code as there are references to it in other parts of the database
This message normally occurs when you are trying to add new data or save a change in data. If you receive this message your PCSec database has become corrupt and needs to be repaired.
Note: before repairing the database all users must be logged out of the software.
The Compact & Repair Utility can be found in your Programs Menu within PCSec Windows (32 bit)
Alternatively this will be installed in the in Winsec32\Utils folder on your C: drive (either C:\Winsec32\Utils for MS Vista & Windows 7 users or C:\Program Files\Winsec32\Utils for Windows XP users). Just double click the Compac32.exe file to start the repair.
To do this go to C:\Winsec32 and run the pcsecsettings.exe program. Once launched you will need to check the Vista/Jet 4.0.9755 check box as shown in the example below before saving the settings. Also ensure that your Crystal Reports Mode is set to Viewer v10
You will receive confirmation once the repair is complete. Users can now log back into software.
Object Invalid or no longer set
This error message when producing a form normally occurs when you are running PCSec on MS Vista or Windows 7. To rectify this you just need to select a specific setting.
To do this go to C:\Winsec32 and run the pcsecsettings.exe program. Once launched you will need to check the Vista/Jet 4.0.9755 check box as shown in the example below before saving the settings. Also ensure that your Crystal Reports Mode is set to Viewer v10:
Once you have selected the Vista/Jet check box and saved this new setting this should resolve the error message and allow you to produce your form. You may need to sign out of PCSec and back in again first for the change in settings to take effect.
